General Eurorack modules from Fitzgreyve:
Fitzgreyve MUWZ
- MUWZ is a Eurorack emulation of the Triadex MUSE, a 1972 “computer musical synthesizer” that was invented by Marvin Minsky and Edward Fredkin of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While the original MUSE documentation refers to it as a “computer”, it is actually a collection of counters, shift registers and simple logic circuits.
- MUWZ creates original melodies from simple algorithmic processes. There are no pre-programmed sequences or random sources involved.
- The original MUSE was not a "synthesizer" in the current sense of the word, as it only played a fixed level square wave. MUWZ omits the sound generation and acts as a monophonic sequencer with standard 1 volt per octave CV and GATE outputs, and inputs for external CLOCK and RESET.
- With MUWZ, what sound you generate is up to you and your modular synthesizer setup!
- MUWZ is capable of creating compositions that include scales, patterns, riffs, call and response, and theme development.
- Please ask if you want customized scales programming - there is currently no addtional chanrge for this service.

- This resonance filter is intended to emulate static resonances that are typically found in acoustic musical instruments.
There are three non-overlapping frequency bands:
- Low range - 60 to 300 Hertz
- Medium range – 300 to 1k5 Hertz
- High range - 1k5 to 7k5 Hertz
- Emphasis (or Q) can be adjusted between 0.5 and 10, and each band has its own gain control. There are separate output level controls for the resonator (filter) and dry signal mix.

Fitzgreyve Transient
- This module is designed to replicate the user interface and the behaviours of the “Transient” envelope generator from the ETI 4600/3600 and later Maplin 5600/3800 synthesizers.
- The ETI transient controls had a range of 5mS to 5 seconds. In this module they all have a range of 1mS to 10 seconds in four even decades, i.e. 1-10mS, 10-100mS, 100-1000mS, and 1-10 seconds.
- To simplify the circuit, a Microchip PIC processor has been used. The PIC code has been developed from the Electric Druid LOOPENV1 Looping ADSR, and is released under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0license. While the Transient is basically an ASR (attack, sustain, release) envelope it is capable of some envelope shapes not easily achievable with other envelope generators.
- The REL2 software version adds selectable control ranges of up to 10S, 100S, 1000S, or 2440S (42 minutes!)

dAhDShR
- This is a module that sort of "fell out" of the development of the "Transient" above. It is an ADSR envelope generator that also has controls for initial delay, attack hold (aka "punch") and sustain hold duration. It includes all the other nice features that the Transient has (1mS to 10S range on all controls, retrigger switch, LFO and ENV outputs, CV control of both output level and overall time).
- The REL2 software version adds selectable control ranges of up to 10S, 100S, 1000S, or 2440S (42 minutes!)

Transient Expander "Tr-Ex"
- Tr-Ex is a simple to build 3HP wide expansion module for the Fitzgreyve Transient or dAhDShR modules.
- It provides buffered +5V stage outputs from the main module that can be used for gates, triggers, or any other purpose:
- “Initial Delay” output
- “Hold” output - for Transient: Slope 1 and Hold; for dAhDShR: Attack, Attack Hold and Sustain
- “Release” output - for Transient: Slope 2; for dAhDShR: Release
- It also provides:
- +5V Start pulse output (10mS pulse using standard build values) at start of Attack /Slope1, with LED indicator
- +5V End Pulse output (10mS pulse using standard build values) at end of Release/Slope2, with LED indicator.
- A de-bounced Manual Gate switch, the gate output can be jumper selected as gate or trigger pulse.
- Powered from the host Transient or dAhDShR module - no separate power required.

Overdrive Engine
- This is a Eurorack implementation of the popular Mitsumin "Valvecaster" valve overdrive circuit, with CV control of gain via a vactrol. It provides a nice way to experiment with Valvecaster circuit features in the Euro format.
- The valve heater can be powered from eurorack +12V, -12V, or external power supply, with heater on/off switch.
- Switch to supply 12V or 24V to the valve circuit.
- High and low gain input options
- LED to light up the valve.

- Fitzgreyve Proxima
- Proxima is a Eurorack performance control that gives a CV and Gate output based on the range of an object (e.g. your hand) from a panel mounted distance sensor.

Fitzgreyve USB Host
- This isn’t actually a host, more of a “host for a host”. It allows the Hobbytronics USB host board V2.3 with the MIDI software option installed (not the “USB Host Mini”) to be more easily mounted in Eurorack:
